A place full of history

With its prestigious location, The Monbijou is a green oasis in the center of Berlin. Surrounded by numerous sights, it is a beautiful place to take a break and relax. The name says it all. Monbijou translates as “my jewel” and was built on the site of the palace “Monbijou” in 1959. It was surrounded by ornate gardens, old trees, and lush greenery. After the palace was destroyed in 1960, the popular green area was rebuilt. The last transformation took place in 2007, when a nine-meter-wide promenade was laid out to take long walks and enjoy nature in the middle of Berlin. Large lawns have been built for recreational activities, protected by old trees that provide shaded places.
